FEAR
by Joanna Allen

Lumps protruded from the surface of my skin sending the little hairs to stand straight up.  The lumps retreated into my body and fused together right in the center of my throat.  Not even the tiniest bit of oxygen could pass through this blockage.  My normally rugged legs slowly weakened to a jello-like substance.  My instinct was to race off the stage, but the jello wouldn't let my joints do the work.  Beads of salty liquid began to seep through my pores. Soon my whole body was wrapped within itself.  I felt as though I were turning inside out.
